Job Summary

The Sales Instructor will be a part-time position in the Business Education Department and will be actively engaged in education to complement the current business and administrative assistant degree programs.

Available course is for the Fall semester beginning August 28, 2017:
MKT 1000 Sales
This course will guide students to explore and analyze successful sales and sales management behaviors. Students will develop competency in professional selling approaches, conversations and presentations, and sales management techniques. Course topics include creating value in the buyer-seller relationships, prospecting, sales call planning, communicating the message, negotiating for win-win solutions, closing the sale, as well as how to motivate, compensate, and train sales people.

Job Duties Include:
Prepare & teach course.
Participate in Business Education department functions and activities that promote business and entrepreneurship programs and Gillette College to prospective students, parents, and other interested parties.

Education/Qualifications

Education/Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or higher; study in a business or an economics academic discipline is a plus, but most important is actual personal selling work experience. Experience in retail and business sales in various industries is especially valued.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Intimate knowledge of the personal sales process; skill and ability to demonstrate personal selling.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Classroom teaching and office setting.

Experience

Direct work experience in personal selling, especially in various industries, with both retail and business clients. Prior training in an established sales training program, i.e., Sandler Training, Franklin Covey, Dale Carnegie, etc. is also valued. A successful personal sales track record.

Experience working with industry, community groups, businesses, and educational institutions.
